Deer Park Lodge No. 134 and Chewelah Lodge No. 135 were both chartered on June 15, 1904. In 2010, both lodges faced challenges related to their meeting locations. After careful consideration, the decision was made to consolidate into a single lodge, combining the strengths of both and ensuring a bright future for Freemasonry in the Chewelah–Deer Park area of Eastern Washington. At that time, the lodge adopted the name Boyer Mountain Lodge No. 134, inspired by a prominent peak located halfway between Chewelah and Deer Park.
In 2020, Boyer Mountain Lodge consolidated once again, this time with Colville Lodge No. 50—the lodge that had originally sponsored both the Chewelah and Deer Park lodges in 1904. Following this merger, the lodge became Boyer Mountain Lodge No. 50. The lodge now meets on the second and fourth Mondays of each month in Deer Park, except from June through August, when the lodge goes dark for the summer.
Through ongoing support of Shriners Hospitals for Children, the Scottish Rite Early Life Speech & Language Clinic of Spokane, and Washington Masonic Services, we strive to be a strong pillar of our community. In 2026, we will continue our annual Battle of the Horns Pancake Feed fundraiser and will also reinstate our Books for Bikes program, which encourages grade-school children to read by awarding bicycles to students with the highest reading hours in their class.
If you have any questions, suggestions, or opportunities for our lodge to better serve the community, please feel free to contact us.
